Refund policy

Returns 

Since we are dealing in perishable goods, unfortunately we do not entertain refunds or exchanges. 

We take extreme care while shipping all our products in sturdy packaging after diligent checks on all steps.

However, if you receive a product in an unsatisfactory condition- broken bottle for example- please DO NOT OPEN OR USE THE PRODUCT if you intend to request a return or refund.

Steps to be followed to initiate return or exchange - 

1. Please click a photograph as soon as you notice the defect and mail it to connect@bitterberriesindia.com with your order details and proof of purchase. 
2. Please do not send your purchase back to us unless we specifically request for it. 
3. Any such item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery shall not be eligible for return.

Refunds (if applicable) 

After having received communique from our end to return the product , the defected product may be shipped back to us. 

Once received it will be inspected and thereby we an email will be sent to you to notify you of the receipt of the damaged product at our warehouse and the outcome of the inspection will be communicated to you. 

We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or exchange. 

If the product is found to be damaged or of unacceptable quality, thereby the refund/ exchange will be approved. 

After which your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 12-15 days. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable) 

If you haven’t received a refund yet, primarily your bank account must be checked for receipt of refund. 

Thereby, your credit card company may be contacted, since it may take some time before your refund is deposited back in your account . 

Incase the amount needs to be transferred to your bank account, there is often some processing time before a refund is credited to your account after which the bank in question may be contacted.

Items Purchased on a discounted rate(if applicable) 

Only products purchased at MRP may be refunded. 

Any products bought during a sale or at a discount or with some offer will not be eligible for a return or exchange and no refund will be provided on those products. 

Exchanges (if applicable) 

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. 

If an item is defected the same procedure as that for a return must be followed.

Incase the item is not eligible for exchange it will be conveyed via mail. 

Gifts 

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, in case the return is approved, a credit note will be allotted to you for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you which you can use at any time in the future, for a period of 3 months. 

Incase the item was marked as a gift but not shipped to you directly the value of the item will be refunded to the purchaser after the procedure for returns and exchanges has been followed as mentioned above.

The shipping cost will be borne by the person returning the product. 

Depending on your shipping address, the delivery time for the exchanged product, may vary. 

If the value of the products being sent as a return shipment is over Rs.1000, we would recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, since we will be unable to guarantee a receipt of the items otherwise.
